I’ve always believed that homes carry energy. That materials remember where they came from. That wood holds stories and color speaks long before words do.
Grain & Grace grew out of a lifelong love of craft, beauty, and the quiet details that make a space feel alive. It’s a place where design is less about perfection and more about presence. Where craftsmanship isn’t just a skill, but a way of honoring time, care, and intention.
I grew up around makers, sawdust, samples, sketches, and long conversations about how something should feel when it’s finished. Over time, that shaped how I see design. Not as something purely visual, but as something emotional, sensory, and deeply human.
My work lives in the space between heritage and modernity. I’m drawn to old techniques and enduring materials, softened by contemporary restraint. I love rooms that feel layered, lived-in, and quietly confident. Spaces that welcome you in, hold you gently, and don’t ask to be anything other than what they are.
Grain & Grace is where I explore all of that. The psychology of color, the poetry of wood grain, the comfort of timeless forms, and the cultural shifts that show up in our homes before we even realize they’re happening.
This journal is for designers, creatives, and thoughtful humans who believe good design is felt in the body as much as it’s seen by the eye. It’s for those who value depth over noise, craft over convenience, and intention over excess.
If you’re here, I hope you slow down. I hope you notice textures. I hope you trust your instincts a little more. And I hope you leave feeling inspired, grounded, and more connected to the spaces you call home.
Welcome. I’m really glad you’re here.
With grain and grace,
Cerisse
